
The Working Committee for the Implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) convened its first coordination meeting at 13:00 hours today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Working Committee, U Ko Ko Kyaw, delivered the opening remarks, and then the Committee members reviewed progress on the implementation of the BRI projects under the BRI framework.
Subsequently, the Committee discussed and exchanged views on active participation in the BRI projects and continued implementation of the projects for the benefit of Myanmar, strengthening of inter-ministerial coordination to support the BRI Steering Committee, and mutually beneficial cooperation between Myanmar and China in the implementation of the BRI projects.
The meeting was attended by the members of the Working Committee for the Implementation of BRI from the 23 Ministries, the Office of the Auditor General of the Union, and the Nay Pyi Taw Council.
