Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe receives Mr. Daba Debele Hunde, Ambassador-designate of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar (9-7-2024)

U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr. Daba Debele Hunde, Ambassador-designate of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, with residence in Tokyo, at 1300 hrs on 9 July 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
 
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs congratulated the Ethiopian Ambassador for his appointment as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, with residence in Tokyo. Mr. Daba Debele Hunde presented a copy of his letter of credence to Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs.
 
They cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the strengthening of the existing bilateral relations between Myanmar and Ethiopia, mutually beneficial cooperation including trade and investment sectors, and enhancement of collaboration in the regional and international arenas.
 
U Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, also received Mr. Daba Debele Hunde, Ambassador-designate of Ethiopia to Myanmar, separately at 1100 hrs on 9 July 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
