Myanmar Delegation Led by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attends the 25th ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting (28-4-2026, Bandar Seri Begawan)

Myanmar delegation led by U Hau Khan Sum, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the 25th ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam, on 28 April 2026. The Meeting was attended by Foreign Ministers, Deputy Foreign Ministers and Senior Officials from the ASEAN and EU Member States as well as the Secretary General of ASEAN and representatives from the European Commission.
 
The Meeting discussed and exchanged views on the progress in the implementation of the Plan of Action to Implement the ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership (2023–2027), existing ASEAN-EU cooperation and its future direction as well as regional and international issues. The Permanent Secretary highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation in such areas as education, human capital development, people to people exchanges, disaster management, implementation of IAI Work Plan V, and shared recent developments in Myanmar.
