Myanmar delegation led by U Hau Khan Sum, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the 32nd ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Consultation (32nd ACSOC) and the 26th ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Meeting on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (26th SOM-DOC) held on 21st May 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
At the 32nd ACSOC, the Senior Officials reviewed and discussed future direction of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and preparations for the ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference (PMC) with China in July and the 29th ASEAN-China Summit in November as well as regional and international issues. During the 26th ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Meeting, the Senior Officials exchanged views on the implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC) and the ongoing negotiation on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea (COC).
