Myanmar delegation led U Hau Khan Sum, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the 5th ASEAN–United Kingdom Senior Officials’ Meeting held on 31 March 2026 in West Sussex, United Kingdom.
The Meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Dang Hoang Giang, SOM Leader of ASEAN–Viet Nam as the Country Coordinator for ASEAN–UK Dialogue Relations, and Ms. Christina Scott, the United Kingdom’s Senior Official to ASEAN. Senior Officials and representatives from the ASEAN Member States as well as the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Political-Security Community were present at the Meeting.
During the Meeting, the Senior Officials discussed and exchanged views on the developments in ASEAN and the UK, future direction of ASEAN-UK Dialogue Partnership, progress of implementation of the Plan of Action to implement the ASEAN-United Kingdom Dialogue Partnership (2022-2026), development of successive Plan of Action and commemorating 5 years of Dialogue relations between ASEAN and the United Kingdom as well as regional and international issues.
