Second Round of Myanmar–Belarus Bilateral Consultations between the two foreign ministries held in Minsk (3-10-2025, Minsk)

The Second Round of Myanmar–Belarus Bilateral Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus was held on the morning of 3 October 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, and H.E. Mr. Sergey Lukashevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
 
During the consultations, both sides exchanged views on ongoing preparations for the upcoming general elections in Myanmar, the peace process, and closer collaboration between the two foreign ministries. They also discussed enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of defense and security, education, science and technology, culture, sports, and tourism. In the context of regional and multilateral affairs, the two sides exchanged views on developments within ASEAN, the EAEU, the SCO, and BRICS, and explored ways to strengthen cooperation under these frameworks.
 
Following the consultations, the Myanmar delegation, led by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended a luncheon hosted by H.E. Mr. Sergey Lukashevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
