U Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received H.E. Mr. Abhay Thakur, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of India to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at 1630 hrs on 7 April 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affair in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister express his appreciation to India for providing humanitarian assistance and sending medical teams to Myanmar in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. Both sides discussed to work closely in the rescue and relief efforts of the victim of the earthquake. They exchange views on ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, including fostering closer economic cooperation, and to promote trade and investment between two countries.
